Newborn Photos: Baby Annabel

Some days are just great. You know, finish a task and you are just full of joy. Photographing babies is not just a task though, it is sometimes an enormous labour of love. Of uncurling fingers, dealing with wee and poo and more poo and a little bit more, in your favourite new outfit, with some gorgeous incredible flowers you begged off your neighbours trailer headed to the tip. But the vision was there and oh if this little squirmy, wormy would just give you the shot, just 10 seconds is all you’d need. hahahah. All that aside, mission accomplished (even if I didn’t entirely nail that shot) when you see the rest of the gallery and this gorgeous family that is no longer 2, but instead 3. And you know now, that as a mother yourself, their lives will never ever be the same. EVER. AGAIN. In such a good way.

Yesterday was one of those days. A day where I met such a lovely family, and we had an awesome, awesome, super duper long session, with lots of poo, lots of wee, and god, lots of laughs. Conversations roared from boobie bikkies, to growing boobs, to breastfeeding positioning, to enamoured love between a couple who after 12 years still actually really, really like each other. Like really, LIKE. Admiration, respect, joy. What a wonderful day.

I’m so glad Pattrick and Suzannah found me. And sweet little Annabel your newborn photos are gorgeous, And one day your mama and dada have a story to tell you about a little yellow dainty daisy outfit and a whole lot of poo. And a wonderful day, where they oggled and goo’ed and gaa’ed over a teeny, tiny, sweet little girl they call Annabel (oh and goo’ing and gaa’ing over each other too, yes eewwwwwww, but one day when you are old enough, you will love the fact that your parents love each other, like really, really love each other.) Big things are out there for you Miss Annabel, dream big sweetheart.
